CUPE Local 2099 President Ken Turner and CUPE President Sherry Hillier.) CUPE remains optimistic that the labor dispute involving municipal workers in the city of Mount Pearl can be resolved and is asking the city to take disciplinary action against some of its members outside the table. CUPE NL President Sherry Hillier says while she won’t speak for the local, she believes the strike can be resolved. He says the deal on the table is “great” but the disciplinary measures must be lifted in order for them to ratify the deal and get back to work.
