A female porch pirate brazenly scaled the fence of a Missouri home to steal a package containing a toddler’s life-saving equipment.
The package stolen on August 26 contained a canister that allows a one-year-old toddler born with a medical condition to breathe.
Shockingly, the brazen blonde thief who stole it climbed up onto the box to grab it and was clearly enjoying her criminal endeavours.
Susanna Elizarraraz, Carlos’ mother, said her son relied on the equipment after having a tracheotomy at two weeks old. Elizarraraz had ordered a new canister for the suction device after the previous one cracked.
“This is a very important part of his daily life,” Elizarraraz told Fox4.
“When they steal boxes from people’s porches, it might not be a Gucci or a Jordan wallet, it could very well be people’s life-saving prescriptions, medical equipment that they need to be able to sustain life on a daily basis. which is the case of our son.’
Home surveillance footage showed the brazen thief getting out of the passenger seat of a white SUV and jumping toward two packages outside a Kansas City home.
The woman with tied blonde and pink hair took one of the packages before leaving with an unknown driver.

The family was not home Saturday night when the thief took off with the package and the SUV had no license plates.
“This is not fair to my son,” Juan Carlos Elisararaz told Fox4. “We have to worry about whether his equipment will be there the next time we order it.”
Lala Ozaeta, the one-year-old’s aunt, posted a warning on the Stolen KC Facebook group describing the woman as having tattoos.
“This woman picked up a box thinking she was going to open it to maybe find something of value to her,” Ozaeta wrote.
The Elizarraraz family has not reported the incident to the police.
Susanna said her son came to rely on the equipment after having a tracheotomy at two weeks old. She had ordered a new suction device for her son’s trachea after the previous one had ruptured

Porch pirates have been on the hunt since the COVID-19 pandemic, as most Americans have been confined to their homes with home deliveries becoming a necessity.
Andrew Hurst, research analyst at ValuePenguin.com said the pandemic has been a perfect storm for thieves.
“Quarantine has become the perfect opportunity for porch pirates, with home delivery orders up nearly 40% since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Hurst said at the height of the pandemic in 2020.
“It is troubling that a significant number of Americans are not taking the appropriate steps to protect themselves from future theft.”
A survey conducted in July 2020 within the first few months of stay-at-home orders found that 18 percent of Americans experienced package theft in the past four months.
At the time, many consumers reported various missing passes with 40 percent of stolen packages reported from an apartment complex, according to ValuePenguin.com.
