Armed officers were spotted on Commercial Road and Regent Circus along with four incident response unit vehicles from the ambulance service at around 8.30pm this afternoon. A police helicopter circled over parts of Swindon, including the Old Town and Walcot, before heading towards Commercial Road. Two police cars and four ambulances were parked by Commercial Road and Regent Circus before leaving shortly after 8.40pm. Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
