Hamilton police say officers were on patrol on Lincoln Alexander Parkway when they spotted a vehicle that had crashed and overturned on the Upper Gage ramp.
According to police, a 16-year-old boy was found lying on the grass.
Officers rendered aid and transported the teenager to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown.
Police said the teenager only had a G1 license and was charged with impaired driving.
