A southern Ontario couple — 25-year-old Stephanie Imeson of Chatham-Kent and 27-year-old Derek Comartin of Stony Point — died when a canoe they were in with two others capsized on Lake Le Grou in East Mills Township.  on August 30.

Stephanie Imeson, 25, of Chatham-Kent, and Derek Comartin, 27, of Stony Point, drowned when their canoe overturned on Lake Le Grou on August 30. (Facebook) The two survivors were able to swim to shore, while one of the bodies was recovered from neighboring cottages and given CPR. The person was later pronounced dead by doctors. The OPP underwater search and recovery team recovered the body of the second victim.
