Multiple emergency rooms in the province — one at Eastern Health and two at Central Health — will remain closed throughout the weekend due to the lack of doctors. US Memorial Health Center in St. Lawrence will be closed from 8 a.m. today until 8 a.m. Monday. The Green Bay Health Center in Springdale will also be closed for part of the weekend. The closure starts at 8am today and will last until 8am on Sunday. Meanwhile, ER services at the Dr. YK Jeon Kittiwake in New-Wes-Valley will be closed for the long weekend from now until 8:00am. on Tuesday morning. If emergency services are needed during these times, patients at St. Lawrence can proceed to the clinic in Grand Bank or the Burin Peninsula Health Center, while those in the center can go to the emergency rooms in Grand Falls-Windsor or Gander.
